Character Info

◎ Character's Name: Rasu
◎ Character's Canon: Countdown 7 days
◎ Character's Age: exact age is unknown, physically 23.
◎ Canon Point: post manga
◎ Background/History: here.
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? He's not a hacker, but given that he's a spirit he has sort of a sixth sense.

◎ Personality: To most, Rasu seems like a pretty strange guy. With his big and wide-open eyes his stares are unsettling and might upset some, and creep out others. And to many he can be seen as rather creepy, with how little he speaks. Instead of speaking, he stares at you a lot, and makes various gestures. If he’s nervous or upset he will flail, if he’s happy he will have a big close-mouthed smile on his face that can seem downright scary. He doesn’t just smile when he’s happy though. At times he will also smile when he’s uncertain of things, or trying to play off something’s (his nerves) significance.

Because Rasu is a nervous minded spirit, he’s quite jumpy around people he doesn’t get along with. They make him jump and sometimes hide, even if it’s more of him hiding so that he can’t be seen visibly but the other person knows that he’s there, the way he hid in the curtain when Mitamura looked at him. The curtain was in the middle of the room and he was still noticeable. He’s kind of a pushover, even though he’s gotten better over time. He doesn’t dare speak his mind at times, but there are times when he can spit out what he wants to say, even though it can be badly timed. He will speak what he wants to say even if he’s scared, if it’s for a good cause.

To those that he has no trouble with he can be a lot more open. If you don’t make him nervous he will be able to speak his mind better, and he will speak rather than hide or make gestures. When his body isn’t involved with his speaking he slouches pretty badly.

Something that adds to how strange he can be is when he follows someone around. If there’s something he needs or want to say or ask, he will follow the person around until they ask him what’s up. It’s something he sort of likes, and he can be seen smiling at times when he’s following you. This can come off as very scary, but he doesn’t mean harm. He can also be rather stubborn about it, and doesn’t always know when to give up. He isn’t fully aware of how creepy people find him, but he knows a little bit of it.

Though he doesn’t speak that much, Rasu can still be pretty noisy. He likes music, especially rock and together with the school nurse Maria (known as Mother) he plays in the infirmary, much to the annoyance and shock of others. But when he’s playing music he doesn’t really care, even if his instrument is the maracas. Rasu uses the word “orecchi” when speaking of himself. “ore” means “I/me”, “cchi” being his own verbal tick. He doesn’t think about when he uses it (I haven’t figured out how to transfer this to English yet, but I will). When Rasu speaks, it is most of the time in cut sentences. It’s not that he cuts himself off, but instead he pauses at odd places. If he tries to say that he’s glad, it might come out as “I am, glad” instead. This is not all the time though.

Rasu used to be a lot more insecure and easier to push around when he came to Sheol. The one who changed him was Mother, the school nurse. With her intense but easy-going personality, he couldn’t help but be swept with before he could notice, and she helped him gain a bit of confidence. She is what made him choose to stay instead of reincarnating, and he enjoys the things she introduces him to.

◎ Powers/Abilities: Moderate spiritual energy control (not more than the average spirit), levitation (common to spirits), possessing people or animals. As a spirit he doesn't get any scars aside from those he had as a human, and can notice the difference between a living being snd a spirit.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory: Maracas, nurse coat, thermometer (mouth version), bandages, stethoscope, an information watch that shows a person's information if you point its light at them, bandage scissor.

CEREALIA-Specific

◎ Element: Water.
◎ Sense: Sight, considering he isn't the most secure person he needs to keep track of things, and since he works with nursing his eyes are needed a lot. You can't give someone a shot if you can't see. At least you probably shouldn't.
◎ Seven Character Traits:

+open, quiet, energetic

- nervous, creepy, pushover

~stubborn

Samples

◎ First-Person Sample:
[ Rasu plays with the phone-like communication device, turning it on by accident when he presses random places on the screen. He jumps when he notices he's on video, and big dark eyes stare into the camera. ]

Ah, how do I... Oh. [ In his worry of trying to turn the video off he doesn't notice that his too-long sleeves are getting in the way. But since he pressed the end button, he thinks it's off, and he puts it away. Only it's not, and anyone can hear him talk to himself. ] I don't, understand. [ Why had he of all people been dragged here? Mother would have been much more useful. If they knew of him they should know that. What a stressful situation. And not just that, it makes him nervous that he's supposedly been "destroyed". It doesn't matter that it's been a while now since he got here, the place is unsettling.

He flails around for a moment before drooping and sitting down on the ground with arms around his legs. ]
I want to go home.

1.
A day in the life of Rasu the nurse assistant could be seen by some as… not quite normal. But Rasu enjoyed it, most of the time. Of course, the times when Mitamura crossed his path were usually not very pleasant, but the man didn’t seem as scary now that he saw him so rarely, after the teacher became Onigawara Hanasuke’s temporary guardian spirit of sorts. He still freaked him out at times, but thanks to Hanasuke he knew that he wasn’t as terrifying as he had initially thought.

This was the exact reason why Rasu felt frustrated over missing the other man. He didn’t understand why, but it might be that he had been brought to a world completely foreign to him for the second time in his (after) life. He didn’t like that one bit.

The wild haired man was crouching on the ground, arms wrapped around his legs as he rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet. The expression on his face didn’t speak of nervosity as much as a big smile was etched onto it. It wasn’t one of happiness, but one that masked how strange the whole situation felt to him. It was so wrong, so very wrong.

He tipped to the side, and his smile held a hint of desperation that few might notice if not for the wildness in his eyes. He always had pretty dark circles under his eyes, but they hadn’t exactly gotten better since he got here. He played with the end of his long braid, poking at the split ends.

Rasu didn’t have knowledge in technology, nor did he have the confidence to think that he could be of any use here. If they needed doctors they should have brought someone like Mother, but instead they had brought him. He sighed, and let the braid rest against his eyes. Maybe if he convinced himself enough times he would wake up in the infirmary and find out that it had all been a very uncomfortable dream.

It might seem odd for a man to lie on the ground with a braid over his face while wearing a near face splitting smile, but he didn’t give it a thought. He will mind if someone steps on him however, and he scrambles to his feet. That have better been an accident! He clutches on to the fabric of his sleeves, staring nervously at the person in front of him.

2.

It’s a better day. Rasu has found musical instruments, and if it’s something he enjoys more than most things in the world(s), it’s music. He’s mostly played the maracas, but it’s not like he’s never played on a set of drums before.

So with sleeve covered hands he held on to the drum sticks and started, all on his own. It was loud, not good but not terribly bad either, and for once he didn’t have a care in the world. For the first time since coming here he was genuinely enjoying himself, and it showed on his face. He wasn’t quite as creepy looking when his smile came from the heart, even if there were still dark circles under his eyes.

He could sleep later.
